5787 School Year

OPENING DAY OF RELIGIOUS SCHOOL IS sUNDAY, AUGUST 30TH!

Dear Beth-El Religious School Families,

Welcome to the 5787 school year!!
For those of you I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, I am Cantor Shoshana Abrams Kaikov, the Education Director here at Beth-El Congregation. It is truly an
honor and a privilege to serve our Kehillah Kedoshah (sacred community), and I am thrilled to be embarking on my ninth year of this exciting journey with you all!

The Beth-El Religious School is a warm, joyful, and vibrant place where our
children come each week to learn, grow, connect, and create meaningful Jewish
memories. Each year brings new opportunities to inspire our students and deepen
their love of Judaism, and 5787 promises to be an especially meaningful and
exciting year for our community.

This year, our Religious School theme is “Be the Light” — הֱיוּ הָאוֹר (Heyu
Ha’Or). Throughout the year, we will encourage our students to recognize the
unique light within themselves and explore how they can bring kindness,
compassion, courage, and joy into the world around them. Through learning,
prayer, community, creativity, friendship, and acts of chesed (kindness), we hope
every child will come to understand that even the smallest acts can make a
meaningful difference.

At Beth-El, we believe that Jewish learning should be joyful, hands-on, engaging,
and rooted in community. From our littlest learners in our toddler program to our
thoughtful and growing teens, every student will experience a curriculum rich in
tradition, creativity, discovery, and connection. Our incredible teaching team is
deeply committed to nurturing a strong Jewish identity in every child while
cultivating a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment. We are so proud of the
beautiful community we continue to build B’yachad (together), one where
friendships flourish, Jewish values are lived, and Jewish learning comes alive in
lasting and meaningful ways.

Opening Day of Religious School is Sunday, August 30th at 9:30am!

All families registering for Religious School must be Temple members in good
standing. Registration is completed through our ShulCloud system. Current
members may log into their ShulCloud account to complete the Religious School
Registration Form. Families who are not yet members should first complete the
Temple Membership Form, after which they will be able to create and access a
ShulCloud account and register their child(ren) for Religious School. Both forms
are available at the top of this page and should be completed as soon as possible as
we prepare for the upcoming school year. We truly appreciate your cooperation
throughout this process.

If you have any questions regarding forms, membership dues, or Religious School
fees, please contact Renee Woods (Executive Director) at (817) 332-7141 or
. Should you ever have any questions or concerns about our Religious School program, I am always available and happy to speak with you. Please feel free to reach out to me at , and we can arrange a time to connect. Thank you for continuing to be our partners in your child’s Jewish education. I wish you and your loved ones a sweet and meaningful new year filled with health, happiness, growth, and blessing. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning,
connection, celebration, and countless moments of light! I cannot wait to welcome you all back to Religious School!!

L’Shalom,
Cantor Shoshana Abrams Kaikov
