| On designated Saturday mornings throughout the year at 10:30 am Tot Shabbat, a Shabbat Program geared for children to laugh, meet new children, make new friends, and explore the wonders of Judaism in an exciting fun way! Shabbat is a time to celebrate our heritage and our children through storytelling, art and music. Introduce your children to the beauty of Sabbath and holiday melodies and the joy of sharing them with family and friends.
Parents are encouraged to model the behavior they would like to see in their own children. So remember: Dance with your children, sing and celebrate with us, but please wait to “socialize” with your friends until our brief “singing service” concludes. Each service is followed by light refreshments and an art project. We invite parents to help their children with their art as a way to enhance the meaning of the project.
Tot Shabbat at Beth-El is a fun-filled Shabbat experience designed for families with very young children. Babies, toddlers and pre-school children enjoy a joyful and meaningful Jewish experience with their families, filled with singing, dancing, learning and prayer. | | | Upcoming Tot Shabbots: | | Saturday, October 23, 2010 | 10:30 am | “Where’s the Challah?” After music, prayer, and storytime…our tots will return to the art room to create their own unique Challah Covers. Our tots even got to be little seedlings who grew, and grew and grew into big strong tall trees with a little love from g-d, and lots of sun and water. Each tot decorated a special pot and planted parsley seeds. They will nurture and grow their parsley plant at home…just in time to include on the Passover sedar plate! Some of our tots also created a Family Tree – representing all the special members of their family they love so much! | Saturday, April 2, 2011
