FWFTY Advisor Bio: FWFTY's Advisor, Scott Sloter, has been advising the activities of the youth group as a volunteer since 2000. Scott was raised in San Antonio as an active member of San Antonio's Temple Beth El. Scott was a member of both the junior youth group, BEST, and the senior youth group, SAFTY. Scott served on the SAFTY board as historian (1982-3), treasurer (1983-4), and president (1984-5). Following high school, Scott attended Texas A&M University where he continued his Jewish involvement in the Hillel and the ΣΑΜ (the Sammies) fraternity. Scott graduated Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Science and moved to Ft. Worth, Texas, in 1990. In 2005, Scott added guitar playing to his repertoire of talents to help bring a Jewish spiritual aspect to the youth group. Scott also volunteers as a teacher in the Beth-El religious school where he also plays guitar during T'filah classes.
